We Roll at Dawn Demo

We Roll At Dawn is an action roguelite tower-defense game about building a floating island, defending its Sacred Tree, and deciding how much land you can protect. Each run begins with a small island and a roll of the Dawn Die. During the day, the roll determines how many tiles you can add. Expand the island, choose where different terrain types belong, and decide which spaces are worth using for towers. The land you build shapes the battle that follows.

Grass, stone, gravel, sand, jungle, water, snow, lava, dark, and crystal tiles each give their towers different attack patterns and effects. Some towers fire quickly, some deal heavy area damage, and others slow, freeze, poison, root, chain, or curse their targets. When night arrives, construction stops. Portals open around the island and enemies begin moving toward the Sacred Tree. You take direct control of one of seven heroes and fight through the wave yourself, using basic attacks and four unique abilities while your towers defend the routes you created.

The hero and the defenses are meant to work together. You may need to hold a weak point, protect an important tower, draw enemies away from the tree, or move into danger before a wave reaches the center of the island. The layout you created during the day determines where you can fight and how much time your defenses have to respond. Your island is not permanent.…
