About Magus Slayer

Break a magus. Take its eye. Steal its spell. Descend into the Basilica with an arm that devours magic. Fight the Church's magi, take the spells they used against you, and decide which ones earn a place in your next cast. The order changes the attack. Put Black Hole before Swords to fire blades from its centres. Chain enemies before dropping a meteor on them. Rearrange your spells in the Grimoire and discover named combinations with effects of their own.

Four sockets. More eyes than you can keep. Replace a spell to change your build, or feed the new eye to one you already hold. Choose room rewards, relics and altar upgrades that suit the way you want to fight. Quick casts keep you attacking; a full order waits until every stage is ready. Bring something back from every descent. Keep the Ash you earn, spend it on the Arm, and study stolen spells to unlock new forms at Hob's table.

A greatsword and a rain of blades ask for different choices. Defeat keepers with different starting spells to earn more forms and prepare another run. Return to the tavern. Go deeper. Meet Marta and Hob between runs, prepare your next starting spell, and return to the Basilica. The full game spans the Chantry, Ossuary, Belfry and See, followed by the endless Deep. The Chapel of Trials lets you test spell orders after you defeat your first keeper.
