About AMEN: MAYHEM
I wanted to make a game where players just kill each other. Fast, bloody, no long setup. It started with the deathmatches in Nox, the old Westwood game from 2000. Small arena, a few people, spells and swords flying everywhere, someone always dying in some stupid way. AMEN: MAYHEM is my take on that, with pixel art and a lot more blood.
Up to 12 players per match. Bots fill the empty slots, so you can jump in right away. Official servers are built in, no extra account needed. When someone dies, their gear drops and anyone can grab it. There's a lot of gore. Heads and limbs come off. You can tone it down or turn it off in the settings.
My friends helped a lot with the multiplayer. Server work is my day job, so I was able to set up and run the official servers myself. Any feedback on the Steam forums really helps.
